The second edition of the international forum "Major Infrastructure Projects for a United Europe" was held at the Flora Burgas Exhibition Center, organized by Confindustria Bulgaria in partnership with the Municipality of Burgas and the Progressive Group agency. Representatives of business, academia and the non-governmental sector from Bulgaria and Italy participated in the event.
Greetings to the participants were delivered by Roberto Santorelli - Chairman of Confindustria Bulgaria, Dimitar Nikolov - Mayor of Burgas Municipality, Dimitar Nedyalkov - Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications and H.E. Marcello Apicella - Ambassador of Italy to Bulgaria.
The forum discussed the transnational intermodal project between Italy and Bulgaria, aiming to build a multi-hub - a logistics platform with main terminals in Plovdiv, Burgas and Sofia, which will position Bulgaria as a strategic transit center between Europe and Asia.
The Chief Architect of the Municipality of Burgas Tihomir Raichev presented the municipality's major infrastructure projects related to transport connectivity, and the Manager of the Industrial and Logistics Park Petar Ivanov emphasized the capabilities and readiness of the Burgas industrial zones to meet the high demands of investors.
The project will facilitate international trade and contribute to better integration into European transport corridors, while reducing logistics costs for businesses. Thus, even better conditions will be created for attracting high-tech companies and manufacturing enterprises.
In the second part of the forum, a discussion panel was held with the participation of:

• Eng. Plamen Panchev - Executive Director of Trakia Economic Zone;
• Petar Ivanov - Executive Director of "Industrial and Logistics Park - Burgas" AD.
